PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Uber says it will resume helicopter flights at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday despite a cease-and-desist order from a Utah sheriff.

The ride-hailing company's Friday decision comes after a judge ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to ground the choppers over the star-studded opening weekend.

Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez says that he could still ticket or arrest pilots because the companies didn't get the proper permits.

Uber and the helicopter companies say there wasn't a permit to apply for.

Judge Kara Pettit decided Friday that prosecutors didn't have enough evidence for a restraining order. She's set to take up the case again Monday, after Uber plans to end the service.

On Thursday, Uber began offering helicopter rides to ferry visitors about 40 miles from the Salt Lake City to Park City.
